I have sand as substrate.. When I clean should I move around the sand???? Oh and they are/ were peppered cories

And how can I get more food for them on te bottom? A few that died were thin even though the rest of my fish are lil fatties

Organic matter is lighter than sand. Just hover the vacuum cleaner a good few inches in a slant manner and carefully vacuum out the debris. You need to slant the cleaner to prevent the sand from getting sucked quickly.

Divider can work but I suggest using tablet or sinking pellets. None of your other fish would attempt to eat at the bottom (or so from my experience).

Thankyou lupin. A the last time I gave them a algea tablet was about 2 months ago.. I guess the poor things starved :( when
I vacume I do what u said already, the bottom is free of debris ATM.

For my sand I actually use my sucker/filler setup on the fill mode and burrow it into the sand, this agitates the sand so there are no dead spots for anaerobic bacteria to build up, my 12" pleco agitates the rest...

And yes, sinking pellets and my cory's like sinking shrimp pellets as well as algae wafers...Daily.

Thankyou!!! I
kinda feel bad for my peppered Cory cause the lfs I go to don't have peppered cories in stock anymore :( will it make a difference if he is
with 3 albino cories?

He'll be fine. Don't add for now until you figure out what exactly the cause of death could be.
