Why Bearded Dragon?

Rankins dragon, pogona henrylawsonii only grow to about 1/4 the size of the standard inland beardie. They can be housed as a pair in a 50 gallon all their life. Can be hard to acquire though. I kept one for a number of years until he passed of old age. He was very old when I got him, someone donated him to the zoo I was working for at the time. Great pet, never got bigger than 9 inches snout to tail length. there are some pics here.

now you mention it, i think rankins dragons would be even better.

Awesome little lizards, I can't wait to get more. I haven't come by any healthy ones in a long time though. I forgot to mention that they never grow the "beard". At least not like the vitticeps beards.

most i've seen are pretty boring. they don't seem to do much.

theyre such personable lizards,every one I ever saw walked right over to see me.And the reds are just so good looking.
