Why cant i find a True Festae (Red Terror)

I find Mayans more interesting fish to keep ( although considerably less beautifull)

Have both, and my Festaes are all male sissies....

I totally agree festae tend to be more shy. I have a few mayans they are great fish and some can get very nice colors. Festae are really beautiful fish but a little over rated IMHO.

I understand what you are all saying but like I said I'm new to Festae I'm trying something new as far as research I have done tht.. but the lfs pretty much convinced me they were true festae being blind I took their word for it... I am taking them back now.... I'm on my way there as I type this... I will be ordering some... thnx for you guys help....

i see you are in virginia. i know where to get festae in good ol VA. I have several myself, and if youd like PM me and ill point you in the right direction. by any chance was it at Animal Jungle you found these mayans labeled as festae?
 
No they were from pet paradise animal jungle never has them ... i call and check often I am really interested in getting a few, can't wait to start breeding... I got a nice set up for the already waiting... lol but if you could email me that would be great can't figure out how to pm from app...
