Why did they stop!

Give it some time, as long as the tank is clean they will spawn, mine do all the time off and on. You couldn't keep cichlid from breeding unless you separated then lol, just give it some more time. Good luck

Not sure but mine always breed right after a water change when the new water coming in the tank is cooler then the existing tank water. It drops the temperature in my tank about 3 to 4 degrees.then about an hour or so later the tank is back up to normal 78 to 80 and the fish are all trying to breed with one another like crazy.

I usually do a 50% water change on my African tanks.
