Why did you buy fish that get too large for your tank?

I start out with small fish.. and get them bigger tanks as they out-grow their current ones? and sometimes life happens and you can't do what you want, but have to suck it up and do whats best?
 
I got my pleco Vince for my 55 because otherwise he'd have been in a 30g filter sump, and I knew I'd be able to get a 120 eventually, he looks happy in there :D

Common sense should tell ya that. Though I'm sure your being sarcastic, sad thing is many fish keepers do seem to be lacking in such:screwy:

lol yah there was a little sarcasm there. i have a 300g not a 30g. its 96"x24"x30". but it is sad that some people thing that this would b ok.
 
I'll be honest before I found MFK I was just your stereotypical dumb LFS employee I found MFK was told my Senegal needed at least a 55gal, I bought a 55gal that very hour (no kidding I really did) got an Endli thinking I'd have a 180gal before it outgrew my 55gal(I didn't) got a 75gal and nearly a year and a half later I finnally got a 180gal for him....

I will go above and beyond to take the utmost care of my animals if I am unable to even give them the minimum tank requirements I find them someone who can(IE my German Rams and Bolivian)......

To answer your question many have plans to upgrade sometimes plans fall through and others are too ignorant to realize they cant take care of their fish properly.
 
Isso aconteceu comigo. Eu comprei um pintado e um pirarucú, mas ficaram com 40cm cada. Conclusão: doei os dois para o zoológico, mas o pintado morreu no caminho.
Observação: o aquário é de 240lts.
