Why Do People Only Keep 1 Type Of Fish?

I like all kinds of fish, but limited in tank space. My wife will only allow a 150g and 25g. I mainly like CA cichlids, but have a clown Pleco and 5 two spot astyanax tetras. The 2 spots maybe my favorites. I might get some swordtails for the 25g.

Boxer briefs are the worst.

I do not like boxers, if I do not, err shake off enough my leg gets wet, with breifs? i have an absorbent male maxi pad in place for just such situations.

I keep a bunch of different fish but catfish are still my favorite. Why: because THEYRE CATFISH! Don't question my logic:)
 
Because catfish are the spikiest, crankiest and generally longest-lived/hardy group of fish. They can occupy every niche of a tank, diurnal, top, middle, you name it. And why waste potential catfish space with other fish?

Ive enjoyed keeping bichirs past few years. Looking forward to getting into salt water sharks and rays someday. Bichirs are just so fun to look at
