Why do people screw with me?

A few weeks ago, I came up on someone, in the left lane, who refused to move over. I flashed my high beams, but wasn' tailgating. He was goin the same speed as th person in the right lane, and nobody was in front of them. When I finally got a chance to get around him, he sped up. I kept going, and he kept going. He gave up at about 100, because there was a major exit coming up (my exit and apparently his too) he let off the gas, so I did too. He put his blinker on to try to get behind me, so I slowed down more. He got next to me and gave me the finger as he missed his exit. I don't understand thow people take it personally when you want to pass. Yes, I move over if someone comes up on me.
 
its proper freeway/interstate etiquette, when you see someone coming up on you fast, either get over or speed up and get over. some people are just idiots when they get behind the wheel of the car.
 
Ahh.. people are just azzholes. I almost started a fight in traffic with 4 guys the other week.. Why? I stopped to look at an item for sale on the roadside and while waiting for traffic to clear so I could get back in the car they proceeded to yell a stupid noise while going by.. Then when I catch up after they dodged traffic.. Driver says "No we didn't say anything.." lol

Sharp knives and loud guns.. Lucky I carry neither on my person..

Hmmmm...Ya know there is a guy here in Colorado spending the rest of his life in prision for doing the same thing. Only the other car swerved into oncoming traffic killing two people.

Then I shouldn't tell you about the guy who almost run me up a curb, to get 1 space up in traffic, that I tried to run into a tractor trailer, because he wouldn't give up trying to come into my lane, on top of me.

You are an aggressive driver. Flashing and brake checking is aggressive behavior and it doesn't matter who initiated it.

Whether you're right it doesn't matter, do you want to deal with the headaches with insurance if you get into a fender bender. Even if you're technically right if it goes to court it can still rule against you. I had a friend who hit someone who ran a stop sign, she sued him for medical even though she ran the stop sign but the cop didn't give a ticket.

Consider the situations you get in, the cops will not likely care cause they will perceive it as aggressive behavior by both drivers and will not favor either one.

In the end, who cares, let them cut you or drive slower. It'll save a lot of aggravation.
