Why do things seem to be quieting down to me?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Definately know what you mean. Haven't seen some peeps in awhile and I'm on a lot but I don't post as much as I used to. I think some people might be getting burned out on it as well.

just take it nice and slow guys.. going full throttle will overwhelm you with the hobby.
It is tempting to go all out as it is addicting. I know.. ive been overwhelmed several times.
Im down to 2 tanks and thats the way its going to stay. Tank upgrades but never additions. :)

Im hoping Michael just thins out his stock and not totally leave the hobby.

Yeah me too, Michael stormed into the hobby in a big way, it was only a few months ago he was asking noob questions ;)

And now look at the stock of his main tank, including korean perch, and all his rays in the pool, and his huge tig etc.

Michael you obviously have passion for fish to go at it full throttle like you have, it wouldn't be right for you to just leave the hobby :)

Joe- i wasnt referring to michael when i wrote that post.. im referring to benjamin when he said he was burnt out. Just reminded me when i was overzealous to add and add to my collection.

I got to the point that i have to sit down 15 minutes to decide if i want to do a water change or not. I wasnt enjoying it anymore. Its an awful feeling.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I use to have six tanks going, now I only have two, and am going to be down to one pretty soon.

I know I am still sort of a noob here but at the same time not, but I know for me this past summer has been hard for me to get on as much as I would like. Work and other personal problems threw my life into a tail spin. The past 2 months have been really big for me. I had a new baby like rottbo, this month alone I needed to get a new car, job and an appartment. Kind of taking me away a bit more then I would like but with the cooler weather people settle back into the enjoyment of their guppies again :D

Different strokes but at this point in my life, ( dad, work etc ) 2 is the magic number for me.
Maintenance is light and i get to enjoy my fish more.
