So...
If I were to get
1xPalmas
1xPalmas Polli
1xDel
1xRetro
And 1xalbino sen.
That woulsnt be considered overstock for a 55G???

There wouldnt be any other fish in the tank.

That sounds good to me as well. Remember, there is space for those bichirs, but it's your filtration that needs to be up to par. A sump, or no less than two good size canisters (i.e. no xp1's, or eheim ecco's).

Supplemental HOB filters will help too.

When it comes to keeping bichirs in smaller tanks, you want to sacrifice as much height as possible, and go with as much width as you can get.

Filtration will most likely be 2xAC110 couple with a sump/canisters
I might possibly build my own sump as its cheeeeeeap to do.
The gears are turning!

oh btw, I don't think its cruel or anything. I was just trying to get a point across and trying to be as descriptive as possible.

Now, another discussion topic... would you stock the more active bichirs (sens, dels, palmas) different than you would the "logs" (endli, congs, ect)?

You might have to upgrade from a 55g in the future though.

Someone on here told me that in about a year I would have to move my 8-9'' BGK, my 9'' Delhz and my two 9'' Sens, into something bigger.

So I'm currently on the prowl for a 125 G tank. :D

because theyre so addictive! :grinno:
its fun to see them pile onto each other, and theyll do it no matter how much space ou give them.
like cohazard stated, its fien as long as theyre comfortably in the tank and have good water perimeters.
they dont seem to mind being over crowded anyway.
