They are the fastest, most agile, and elitest predator in the freshwater aquatic world.

They are also very smart too, and quite friendly towards their caretaker.

That basically sums it up...

And the fact that here are sooo many different varients out there.

A very interesting fish.

I think the fish speaks for itself...

I love the gold, green, yellow, black, red and most importantly the BLUE coloration. How they watch and follow my every move. And as said before, it is sweet when they chase a fly across the tank.

My son recently got one of those nerf guns that shoots the foam darts. Anyways, the darts are bright orange and when you shoot them near the pbass tank, they go crazy chasing after these things. It's quite hilarious to watch

Constant entertainment
I was watching tv the other day and heard a load banging in the tank
I looked over and saw all four of my cichla hammering the front glass trying to get a moth that was flying about 2 foot from the tank

Iv pretty much kept everything and cichla are by far the most fun

Your avatar looks like your doing your own hammering...LOL... :headbang2

Pound for pound, a channa hammers a pbass any day of the week, out-eats it too :D

Cichla are cool though. Very fun predators, super quick, always hungry. I've found them to be slightly lacking in personality though, not quite as funny or friendly as some other SA/CA cichlids such as festaes.

pbass are better than channa because in the US we cant have channa

How does that make them better? It simply makes them more available. Pbass are my favourite cichlids, but they are still not close to a large aggressive channa. Here in Europe I can have both, and I find channas do be a far more entertaining and hardcore fish.
