just blows my mind that he possibly got through a .5" gap..his body width was about an inch..

Just think about it like thins...How do people get a ring off of their finger that is stuck? Give it viscous medium (like an aros slime coat) and poof mystery solved....Sorry for your loss bro :(

well..at least i now have an excuse to go to chinatown and pick up a nice 25 incher..

still sucks though..it was getting pretty fun watching this one grow..

So sorry for your loss...

Sorry that you had to join the ranks of lost arows.. it is quite a bad site to see them laying there ..i have been through it.. and especially sad that you took all the precautions and it still happened...how big is the slower growing arow?

its not the first time..this just hit me harder since i was so pleased with it's growth..they were both the same size around 4 months ago, this one grew about 5" and the other just 2..its at 12" right now..eats everything..but still not much growth..my jar has grown fairly slow as well, but not as slow as the silver.

If it ever happens to me again i won't get another silver.. i will get a jar..so far i am lucky with mine being 26 inches..i put a board on top .. 6X4 inches.. he has jumped a couple of times and banged himself..once during water change he flew out.. lucky he was absolutely fine.. to lose any arow is the absolute worse loss... but they say they do save someones life in your family when they give up theirs... even though your others are growing slower they will grow huge ..arows have great growth spurts and then slow down for awhile.. i actually think it is better this way since they seem to be calmer types..

Always hard to lose a fish, especially a favorite. Sorry to hear about the loss.
