Why don't people understand this?

You never know. 2 different couples my wife and I are friends with put their homes on the market just to test the waters to see what kind of buyers they might attract. Both overpriced their homes by about 50k and they both sold in less than a month. Not typical, but it certainly can happen.

My mother on the other hand had her house on the market for almost 2 years at about 20k below market value. Finally sold it but she lost a little money and it took forever.

Sports memorabilia, cars, homes, fish..... All the same. It's only worth what somebody else is willing to buy it for.

one other quick thing, people dont mind spending a little more if it is the best, within reason. so strive to be the best and sell the best stuff and people will buy it. if something is 10 % more but is the best, people will buy. unfortunately some people "think" they have the best and price it 50% more than average. i think these are the type of sellers you all are talking about. they live in never never land and never sell anything but just tease everyone who is interested and are willing to offer a fair price. i know a couple of these kind of sellers, they are all the same. they want a mint for there stuff but dont spend anything if they buy from someone else.

If your 16" pacu you have listed for $75 on your thread you've bumped 25 times since last year only gets an offer of $50. Guess what? That's all it's worth.

This isn't out of spite, just a simple MFK observation.

Thoughts?

Worth is a matter of perception, obviously the 16" pacu is worth $75 to it's owner.

it's the same reason people want $25 an hour to work at micky D'S.... and don't want to pay their taxes, they simply are greedy and don't get it.. there is NO WHY..THERE ONLY IS:popcorn:(kind of Clinton-esque,don't ya think )

It depends how hard is to find that fish around country.. I would easily pay 100$ for quality juvenile tiger oscar if that would be the fish I would really like, because its really hard to find it in my country..

All depends on strength of wish to get the fish ;)
