giant snake head eats kids? are you sure? LOL. i lived where giant snakehead are native here. there are rumors that they eat baby goat. but that doesn't true.
that's python which kill the goat.

The most rumors are false because some American made them up to scare people probably... I don't believe a snakehead would attack things on land for example.

+1 Farox. even at my place, never heard that snakehead come out, crawling then eating on lands. probably giant snake, not giant snakehead. lol. that's just rumors. watch piranha movie too much. XD
maybe reason they ban snakehead at usa because maybe it'll take out some small fish that native to usa. that'll be a competitor to alligator gar.

Snakeheads are a big problem in the US because its destroying the eco system and the balance between the native species. So they are more than right to ban them from the aquarium trade too, but they overreact on what the snakehead really is :D. I would love having snakeheads in a closed off lake here in Sweden to fish them :P Seems like a fun fish to "hunt" around for and look where they breath.

I dont even think they are destroying the ecosystem since their wild realease years ago they have been flourishing in some of our waters and i havent heard anything about them taking over a water system or threatning any native species. To me they are simlar to musky, largemouth and bowfin when compared to native fish they have the ability to breath air and travel short distances across land like the bowfin they are no more agressive than a bass or musky which has been introduced into many waters with out causing any problem.Snakehead just like bass and musky in the food chain are hunted by themselves and other animals. Not to mention they are good game fish and from what I hear they taste good. I think they are harmless to our ecosystem in the us and should be favored instead of hated. Carp are more destructive to an ecosystem if you ask me and they aren't illegal or banned I think the government is :screwy: sometimes when it comes to looking at the big picture of things.

But they have to be a problem sooner or later. They reproduce at very fast rates and the fry survivability is very high and as they are a predatory fish so they have to be eating native fishes and if they become too many the native fishes wont have time to reproduce. Thats my teory :P

Snakeheads are super fish. They have been known to walk on land, breathe air, and even eat small pets and sometimes kids. As a matter of fact, they are more like amphibians than fish. Some have been known to even fly for short distances. In Asian villages, snakeheads are more feared than elephants, tigers, or other big creatures. It's not uncommon to hear about snakeheads killing entire small villages. They are at the top of the food chain, on land and water. The media lies because they only tell about half of what they can really do. Grab your guns, lock your doors, and keep an eye out for one of these ferocious, man eating machines. They are so feared in Asia, that the locals have a special name just for them. Asians call them "pets." I'm still trying to figure out what that word actually means in English.
 good one man i got a kick out of this

Thank you. I'm an American living in Taiwan now. I keep snakeheads at home, and they are nothing like what American media makes them out to be. So, I thought I would make fun of those stupid tabloids back home. I can't believe there are actually people that would write such garbage. And worse, people to believe such nonsense.

well cause they eat pretty much anything that gets into their way, reproduce like jack rabbits and destroy native species.
