i'm in nursing school right now and aiming to work at St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital. If I can get employeed there, it'll be worth it. if not, i'm getting the hell out of memhpis

Statistically, the college educated in this Country make more money that the HS graduate does.
Today's world is different; many civil service jobs require a 2 year degree. Around here, you can't even become a cop without 2 years of college.
It may not add up in your mind but in dollars and cents, it really does add up!
Go to college.

try reading some passages in the bible del.

Or not, lol.
Del, quit stressing, just look at the current level of classes as the dues you pay to get to the good stuff.
Two bits of advice,
first, lighten up, plan on taking a bit more time in school and pad you schedule each quarter with a "fun" class, like figure drawing, creative writing, or the history of science fiction movies.
Second, if you decide on a serious major, finish your BS/BA at a"fun university like the Marine BioSci degree at the University of Guam. Decent school, great island, and on site survewy classes in a beautiful reef environment. All for a bit less tham any comparable school stateside.

I never actually used my degree for anything on a professional level, but I dont regret going to school.
Guppys right take some fun stuff,I loved advanced swimming:D

And nowhere in life will you have more opportunities to meet quality women than college;)

schools for fools man! jk, im gonna go back, im still young. schools the place to be if u plan to make bank in the future. yes u could make it without a degree. but why not make more and do less? with a degree, you can be the man. without the degree, ur that man doin all the work for the guy with the degree. thats jus how it goes.

School not only gives you whatever you're majoring but there are courses that help you with everything in life. From writing a professional paper, to speaking, etc.

although ive got a decent job i wish is went to uni but thats how it goes.
i'd say go make something of yourself its only a few years and your young just enjoy it.

i graduated college in 2002. i have a degree in sonography science. i sometimes feel like i wasted time and a lot of money. 5 years later and i will be going back to school and honestly not sure what kind of degree i want yet. The only advice i can give you is to get all of the nonsense coureses out of the way. if you still live at home, now is the time to get school out of the way. good luck and remember no education is a waste even if its something you have no interest in.
