Hi,
due to i feed my Pleuros since last week more than the times before, now every day. Because they should grow a little bit faster for the future movement middle of the year to the 1400liter Tank. i installed a O2 diffusor for pump, after feeding i recognise that the pleuros are extremly air hungry, since i got that diffusor in they look much better after a large lunch. Maybe that could be also possibility for some pleuro death.

I had a buddy that raised some 3" pleuros in a 29 gallon tank with no filter and no water changes (only topped it off a couple times a month) and he only had hornwort in the tank....LOTS AND LOTS of hornwort. Once they were about 5" he put them in a 125 and did maybe a 15% once every 30 days. They went to 9" in a bit over 6 months.

hi,
i got my group middle of november last year they grow now from 4cm/1.56inch to 14cm/5.51inch not so bad in my opinion. But more an bigger waterchanges could improve the growrate. But i cross everytime my fingers when i do waterchanges...so i wont increase the period and the amount on it.
here a pic of the head of one of my Pleuros

I have always done large WCs on my SHs, pleuros included. i hade some that died when they were small but i can't connect there deaths to the WCs i did, if i remember correctly thats what saved the rest of them. :D
but then again i think we have really good quality tap water here in general...
