I really do like my 360, but IMHO, Microsoft really messed up on the quality of the hardware, and made it very inconvenient on their customers having to send in and wait for their console back which, btw, isn't even their original box but a refurbished box from who knows where it came. I know this was to speed up the turnaround time, but if MS was serious about excellent customer service, they should just give their customer a new console when the RROD is involved.
The failure rate of the 360, estimated by many to be at least 33% is just unacceptable.
Funny story. When I took mine in not long ago to the UPS store to be shipped, the guys at the counter took one look at me and said, "let me guess, a 360?"
I asked them how many they get in on average, and they said at least 4 or 5 a week on average, but often more. THAT WAS AT ONE UPS STORE! Times that by the thousands of UPS depots around the world. CRAZY! MS really should have done more testing and QC before they rushed to release this hardware. I just hope my current one lasts.
Now if PS3 can just deliver on some quality exclusives, we'd have a clear winner. Time will tell.
