one thing nice about this site as well from other salt sites I mod on and answer question's is that you don't get bombarded with every teenager or saltwater newbie trying to give you crazy advice that goes un-noticed and not changed that's why I try to avoid places like reefcentral.com and so on....

X2 to what mr. reef said. The general salt section may seem dead sometimes but there are some really good threads on here.

One great thing I've noticed about here is it seems more about the freshwater people that are interested in transitioning from fresh to salt.

more so than that, they're EXPERIENCED fishkeepers... so you don't have to start off with "this is a fish tank, this is how you take care of it. This is a SW fih tank, this is how you take care of it"

I did salt water after8 months of big time fresh. One thing new salt people should avoid is nano reefs to much work. It is a lot easier to start with a 55 or larger.

True I go to REEF2REEF and reef central and they are full of "know it alls"
And will actually argue over an answer to a thread question..
I don't go to reef central at all anymor for that reason..
I like it here..
I go to others but this place welcomed me with welcome arms..
