Why is height important in a ray tank?

would there be a problem with 96"x48"x18"?
 
Height gives extra volume and rays actually do like to climb walls (some sort of extra groundspace bassicaly). In my opinion, height should be approximately total raylength.

i agree.
 
don;t you think that 'like' is anthropomorphizing and that really they climb the walls because they are there in the way, not because they 'like' to? If they had a few extra square meters of floor space which would the ray choose do you think?

tank sounds fine to me, actually sounds great to me... because we always get the people trying to put a ray in a 90 gallon for life, this one at least has the "footprint of it

who's to say they dont, infact, LIKE to.. have you talked to any rays lately :D
