Does anyone else ever not feel satisfied with what they have? I just spent 12 hours rearranging my tanks and fish and I was satisfied with everything for about a day. Now all I can think about is getting something bigger and better and giving my fish more room than they have. Why cant I just be happy with what I have for a while without wanting to do more? Does anybody else have this problem? I feel ridiculous feeling like this. Its gone from hobby to obsession. I have OAD (obsessive aquatic disorder) I just made it up. :D

I sort of know what you're talking about. I used to be a very competitive and somewhat succesfull powerlifter. Was in the top 30 in the world for raw lifters and had an excellent bench. I did a meet in March of 09 and haven't competed since. I got into fish last year around this time with a 55g tank. SInce then I've bought and sold 3x55, 65,75,90,125,135, still have my 150 up, sold a 180 and working on a 240. I got burnt and tired of all hassle and honestly, some of the stuff that goes on on MFK. I plan to set up my 240, sell the 150 and have since gotten serious about lifting heavy weights again.

I have my up and down days... some days I want to sell them all and just get out of the hobby all together, and then there are times where I will see a fish and I'll fall in love with it and have to have it.

I just drove 4 hours to pick up a Tig, and seeing it in my tank is the reason that I don't think I could ever give up the hobby.

I haven't sold any tanks, and I haven't sold any fish... I just buy more and bigger so that I can have a variety, and never get tired of looking at the same fish.

lol i just set up a 180 about a week ago and i want a bigger tank already:(

If you wanna sell that 180, let me know. lol. ;)

thanks for the support guys. Glad to know Im not the only one. I really just want to swim with the fishes, and not in the pirate death threat way. lol

On a side note I did manage to give away a 135 gallon tank and stand, it has a small leak and I don't feel like fixing it. So i am contributing it to someone else's obsession. I think i know I am insane when I consider a 135 gallon too small for me to use. lol

i don't buy new and bigger tanks because it's neat. i buy them to keep my fish in as they grow. but.. i just bought an 800 gallon tank that will make it so i don't have to buy another tank.

at least until it's time to build the BIG tank.. hehehe
