why is my 125 so yellow (pic)

Yeah.. looks like the algae on the inside of the glass is causing it to look yellowish. just clean the inside walls of the glass and do a water change and it should clear up. And i agree with dudey... a background will help prevent algae growth from that window behind the tank.
Btw... those pieces of wood you have as decor are bad ass!! :) Very nice set up.

I have to agree, I think you should get a background and clean the inside of the tank and change the light and you will have a crystal clear tank. My Opinion is get a rocky background it will look great in that tank with the pieces of wood.

its all real except a small structure under the large wood. its like a ceramic thing.

the water itself is actually crystal clear...i got a python. it just has a yellow tint.

if it is the sand...i might just dump black gravel over it. sucks...

would i have to replace all the light bulbs or just a few
Obviously tannins.

no i think it is the light/sand combo. ill check the stats for the lights later. i just recently took off the background hoping the problem would go away lol. yea i was thinking of a rocky background as well. before it was just solid black.

i clean the front inside glass often...i let algae/stuff build up on the back/sides though.

Most definetly a combination between the light as well as the algae build up on the outsides of the glass, get a magnetic cleaner and maybe some ultraviolet and you should be fine.

Is it a glass tank? I hear that Acrylic tanks can turn yellow over time. I would hope cleaning isnt the problem I figure that would be the first thing you would have tryed. You said its not the water , but just incase over time water can turn yellow (do you run carbon? ) if not and it is the water the carbon should take the yellow out. Good luck
