My tanganyikan chiclid that once was bright white and black striped with a little blue on the fins just yesterday has turned a grey color and his stripes are fading & is also alone in the top corner of the tank while all of my other fish are in the middle swimming around !! Please help !! There’s 2 of them in my tank and only 1 is turning grey while the other is still very bright with its color

I haven’t seen him get picked on but I don’t doubt it my tank is fairly new and is about a month old !! He was just fine yesterday and when I got up today he had turned grey and his stripes are fading and off to him self

African cichlids are often sneaky about it. They don’t do it in front of you, but they often pick one and harass it until it is dead or manages to fight back. Adding more helps to disperse the aggression.

Agree with Rocksor Rocksor !

The fish is being harassed by some of the others and is trying to escape.

Can you post the tank dimensions and the other fish you have in the tank?
