Why is my FH doing this?

lol oh yea i havnt treied touching it lol...hes too stroppy.
i only thought i would ask because he had never done it before and all of a sudden he was gettin really finnicky lol

yea mine is like that...last time they were in the tank together he ripped all her fins off.
although my female had a HUGE belly atm and im not sure why...shes also swollen along the bit from her mouth to between her eyes.
i might put her and him back in together (with him in a contained space) and see if she just needs to lay eggs
 
Make sure you have a strong enough divider with holes only large enough for the female. That will ensure they get together but she won't get killed. She might get beat up but that is typical, she will recover. Oh and with the big guy moving stuff...I think it is just the fishes personality. And yes they do have personalities for any skeptics out there. He is probably just having fun/ curing boredom! Good luck and try to post some pics of the two!

he seems a bit happier now everything is in the corner all bunched up. but he gets really aggrivated by it, u can see him gettin angry by it not bein in the right place! hes a moody lil B**t**d!!!

:ROFL::ROFL::ROFL:that was classic!nah all cichlids do this-well....mostly all.I think they just get tired of looking at the same scenery and decide to rearrange the furniture a bit:DAlso they turn up the gravel for scraps of food etc that settle-its just a natural thing they do.

lol he better not or he can whistle for his food from, now on lol hes got a very good life in there.

she wont go near him coz shes a wimp and hes a brute lol sol dont think breedin will work....but shes goin in with him anyway this wknd, but he will b in a laundary basket lol
