hi , i feal like this month is quesstion month for me, i asked so many in the last week, anyways i have my fresh water tank set up with a few dovis in it, hoping one turns out to be a male, and maybe breed them not sure yet, anways the tank there in, is realy cloudy....... its weird, i changed 50 percent of the water again and its still cloudy, it looks clear from the front, but when u look at it threw the side, u can see how its cloudy, u can barely see all the way threw it when u look at it from the side???? does anyone know what could be causeing this?

keep chaning water water my 75 did that after a big WC and it took a few to get it back to normal.

yeh actually it was a new tanke and a brand new filter........ so i will change the water once a day till it clears up, wonder what it could be, but thx for the replies guys.... and what is an alge bloom?

as a new tank is established, free floating algae can cause clowdy or green water. as the benificial bacteria grown in the filter, the bloom will pass.

have you checked water parameters?? This could also be ammonia if you did not cycle the tank properly. How long was it running before you added the Dovii's? What size tank is it? How many fish and size are in it?

:iagree: this info will be useful in determining your problem.
If it is ammonia then the concern is for the health of the fish.

no i did not wash the tank befor i used it, it was a brand new tank!!! dang how the heck could of not done that, that is so obviosus to do, i must of been in to much of a hurry setting it up, and yes i did check the ammonia levels they are still the lowest they can be, .......... its def not ammonia,
