Why is my tiger shovelnose catfish not eating?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I think you will have your hands more than full with an arapaima :)

I don't believe bull sharks can be kept in captivity, not long term anyway, just like great whites and most other sharks cannot be. No Public Aquarium has one on display for this reason it seems. I've not seen one anyway. Again, speaking long term. Experimentation does happen.
Dang too bad, I really want to put another monster fish with those 3 , got any ideas anyone, I’m open to suggestions. Any fish here is legal so I’m down for anything :D

The third link in my signature describes almost all the f/w monster fish that our Planet houses. You can review my databases. A lot of these fish are available through our trade and hobby.

The pond is still in construction, but the tank is here, I’ll be switching out the fish as soon as my tsn is about 2’. I’ll be putting him with an Arapaima and a alligator gar, the tank is only a temporary, but when they get big my pond will most likely be done by then.

That's a nice big tank, what is it 10'x2'x2' ?

im just wondering how fast do tiger shovelnose grow per month? mine is currently 5'', and ill be out for 2 months and let a friend take care of the tiger shovelnose. im worried that it might grow a bit too fast for the 70 gal.

Depends but would expect average maybe 1" -1.5" per month when small. Would not expect you to come back to find a monster touching the sides!
