Why is my ZZ Flowerhorn peeling?

Haven't heard of many people not liking their fish to fade, but I suppose it's not a glamorous process. I find it exciting actually. Don't worry, they will look pretty cool when they're done.

That looks more like a Midas or a Midas x RD to me than a Flowerhorn. Jin Kangs that I've seen don't look anything like that. They're usually half solid pale orange and yellow if I remember correctly. That guy that posted that video is notorious in my area for some bad looking fish...
