I use NLS Cichlomsa as one of my staple fish foods and I hate having to order online, paying for delivery and waiting. I have never been into a LFS that has it in stock and alot of the store owners have never even heard of it. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one feeding my fish it.

My reason for this post it to get some information from ther keeps how they obtain the NLC Cichlomsa.

Thoughts or Sugesstion please

The cichlasoma formula isn't very popular at all. People seem to stick with the more common formulas, probably because they don't know other formulas exist or due to having to special order or chase it down on-line.

I love it and swear by it but it's so hard to get some

have you tried Jehmco? I don't see it listed, but I would think John would bring some in for you. Plus, if you wait for the sales, you can buy two buckets and get free shipping.

^ I'll +1 this. I bug Pharaoh every time I am looking to buy NLS. He usually has a good idea of where to buy from with a deal. I got my last batch from Jehmco. I went with the buckets this time so I don't need to buy it as often, they did two buckets with free shipping (shipping is not cheap, btw, so its a better deal). I don't have to buy food for a long long time and they have almost everything. I know its not like going in and buying from the store - but it's easier, you get a lot and you get more for your $.

Is this Jehmco a website or a memeber? I would love to get the Cichlosma in buckets.

Okay found the website .... they don't list but I've sent an email in hopes I can get a few buckets.

Amazon always has it but not in buckets.

Perhaps due to the drastic reduction in the number of species in the genus??

;)

Is there really much difference between it and the other NLS formulas? I was doing a bit of research on if there is any benefit to feeding a variety of different NLS formulas to my fish and basically concluded they're, for the most part, similar enough to not worry.
