Why is NLS Cichlomsa so damn hard to find?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Perhaps due to the drastic reduction in the number of species in the genus??

;)

Is there really much difference between it and the other NLS formulas? I was doing a bit of research on if there is any benefit to feeding a variety of different NLS formulas to my fish and basically concluded they're, for the most part, similar enough to not worry.

I figure most of the formulas are close enough for the hand grenade approach. Just me though. I feed pretty much everything I feed a size version of the standard pellet. Except for smaller stuff that gets flake.

3mm Large Fish formula = 3mm Cichlasoma formula.

The Cichlasoma does not even come in 5lb buckets, only 150 or 300 gram containers, as it has always been a relatively slow seller.

I had never seen it in 5lbs so I figured as much. I kind of figured that the differences were so minute that I never searched very hard either. Good info to know to those who are searching tirelessly then.

Thanks for the update on that. I guess I'm just used to feeding my fish this formula and have been happy with the results.
