Photoshop is the all singing and dancing professional photo program. Most of us mere mortals wouldn't use 90% of the features it has.

If you just need to retouch a few photos and other simple stuff there are hundreds of cheaper options.

Many of Photoshops functions can be done with GIMP which is open source freeware. You cant get much cheaper than that

I picked up Photoshop CS2 because I like the challenge to learn more than I really need.

The average person will mainly use image resizing and the auto correct which adjusts color, exposure, and ... ?? ... other things too

also; they will use the bandage feature - great for removing things like water spots on the tank and food and bubbles free floating in the water.

Another thing about having the full pro version is all of the available updates...besides I happen to like having a program that I'll NEVER be able to fully understand lol...
