i actually donno y pH is that high. Tap water when tested, it was this value. However, i hav had aros from the past 4 years in this same water, so i dont think pH is the problem.

first of all, lemme tell you guys, i have started this hobby, 4 years ago. so, atleast i feel i m not a new guy into this.
so, its like all the times before, when i get the tank, and start with some small fishes. and test the paras, the tank cycle is already started, i used to get some old water and used filters also. but this time, i dont hav any used filters or old water, and mayb the 150g of water requires much more time, than i thought.
kindly check my other posts, for knowing how i had a 10" arowana and a fh in a 250litre aquarium. so, leave all that alone.
but yes, i am the first time owner of this big a tank (atleast big for me)
as far as the answer i wanted, yes, i needed someone to just tell me that NTS is killing the fish and not the water parameters or the temperature, thats it.
and OK, fine, i am not getting a big aro, buy surely, but il try with a small one.

I am not saying your tank is small....My biggest is a 150 with different dimensions. I have always wanted an aro but gave up trying until i can have bigger tank of around 1500 liters. Please read the "stickys" on aro care. They are magnificant fish but even a small one will outgrow your tank quickly. i am not saying it cannot be done. i just do not think it should be done.
Small aro + very little time = big aro. Unless you plan on having a much larger tank within a year better find a fish differ then that of an arowana.
You need to do some research regarding the nitrogen cycle as it pertains to the aquarium. Also please research any type fish before you buy, especially arowana considering your tank.

there are no "small aro's"... i believe the smaller species still hit 30" with silvers hitting 3' easily and blacks not far behind that
Problem at hand, your nitrate is at 0, you did not post your nitrite levels. I bet it is pretty high. Your tank has not finished cycling and it will take prob another week or 2. Until both your ammonia and nitrite hits 0 and you read some on nitrate, don't add your aro.
I doubt it is nts. The water param. cannot be off if there is no waste accumilating. I think it has more to do with flow or another factor that has not been disclosed yet. I set up my 340 with tap water+prime and the following day added 100 roseys and 50 goldfish. I loss less than a handful of fish total.

the tank has not finished (or not even started) the proper cycling.
there is not enough ammonia, as these fish r not enuf for producing enuf ammonia for a 150g.... wot i feel is il hav to get some more hardy waste producing fish suitable for 150g, wot do you think ???

actualy my nitrite test kit is over..... hav to get a new one.... so cud not test......
