Why isn't my tank clear?

I have a 90 gallon fish tank with a Fluval 405 and Eheim 2217 running with a load of media, but my tank still isn't as clear as it ought to be. Two days after I set every thing up, the tank was so clear, it was actually the clearest I have ever seen a fish tank but no, it has this small brown/green hue and it looks like there are small floating particles. after realizing this I cleaned out both filters, did a water change/vaccumed the gravel, but it still isnt as clear as I want it to be. What should I do, I will take any advice. Please help

if its cycled, sounds like floating algae, what's the photoperiod? any direct sunlight? thats my first guess..

What fish do you have in it?

I have an oscar and pacu, there is a small amount of direct sunlight but no algae on glass, is there any cheap substitution for a uv sterilizer?? I just don;t have the money for that

no, when I open my door which its next too, Some small sunlight hits it but its nothing major at all

no drift wood, haven't had chance to check parameters but fish are acting fine

how long as your tank been up?

may just want to add a polishing pad into a filter for a bit to remove the floating particles
