Why isn't my tank clear?

I actually have an eheim 2215 which I stuffed with polishing fiber and tried to get running today but when I close it and fill it with water, the canister BURSTS OPEN. Do you know how to fix that?

I have seen this with new tanks. Just let it keep cycling.

It's still not fully cycled, add some Seachem Stability per the instructions. That could speed up the cycle.
