Wow, you have synesthesia? I hope this isn't offensive, but I've always kinda wished I had synesthesia, so I could also also see the music I hear.

It is possible to build one of these in one weekend, but you have to lock yourself away from all distractions to do so. These things grab a lot of attention. Build quality is critical with these. Every minor mistake will come out as a laceration or loud snap of metal after a few movements (found out the hard way).
Synesthesia can be pretty fun. Other times, not so much. Some sounds make me lose my appetite instantly, others consume about 3 pages in the sketchbook. No offense taken at all.
Most of the 3rd exoskeleton has been spray painted and is being unmasked (a lot of tape). All I have to say for this one is; Samurai Lionfish.
