Good luck on them getting along when they get big, I hope they do. A big shoal of them about 20" would be an awesome sight, definitely have to keep us updated...

And i find it very easy to maintain my Rhoms tank, he only gets fed 3 times a week and is very easy to keep clean.
i love love love my reds and only feed them the best foods i can find i feed mine shrimp cichlid gold catfish cod salmon tillapia chicken breast water snakes guppys frogs and evry once in awile steak evry p should eat steak i am in no way saying you should feed your fish what i feed mine im just saying they eat better than you and there more beutiful than anyone on this site exept maybe waterbaby but this is just my opinion
Interesting. Surely, people don't keep p's for their teeth only. If teeth you were after, hydrolicus has meaner/bigger teeth lol ... and what about the goonch (bagarius). but i get it the alure due to association with the name.
I used to want them, precisely because i wanted to own something that is known as a super bad*ss fish, but when i did a research on them, they turned out not for me (many reasons).
At the end of the day, it is obvious, people's taste in fish looks is down right to individuals. Someone already mentioned the "eye of beholder" concept.

Personally, i have many different reasons for keeping piranha. I like them for what they are and what they are capable of, and I really think they are beautiful fish. I like watching them eat, although I rarely give life food. It's not about watching them kill something for me. They are curious, very aware of everything happening around them, shy, yet vicious. It's like having a real piece of the wild in your house. I could go on and on.
