WHY MY P-BASS WONT EAT MASSIVORE PELLETS

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My 9" Azul eats:
- massivore & carnivore sinking pellets
- floating: FD krill, arowana sticks, cichlid gold +
- market prawns, smelt, salmon

I first started off with live feeders>dead feeders>frozen smelt>mp>massivore> floating pellets. It learned to eat the sinking food from all my bottom feeders, and recently took floating food from competing with my 7" IT.

GL!

Before trying massivore, I'd try other smaller pellets. I bought haychinook's 6" kelberi last Wednesday - it was only eating feeders. Within a day he would attack pellets but then spit them out. The next day he'd hit anything that I threw in the water. Basically taking one pellet at a time and throwing it in the tank. Now he'll eat about 5-6 huge pieces of massivore in a row.

So far I've gotten every single one of my fish off live and onto pellets. Only my gar that I got on Tuesday is still on live...but not for long.

I guess I'm lucky. I think a lot of it has to do with fish seeing other fish take pellets. Once they realize its food, they go for it. They might not like it at first, but they give in.

I starved my Mono's for almost four weeks, and they still did'nt eat massivore pellets, Silversides or cut up shrimp........I had to give in after a month an go live again.
