We have 2 foot, 3 foot, 4 foot, and the 6 foot standard tanks. Why no 5?

IIRC glass is made continuously and cut to 12' max lengths. It makes sense to me that 7' tanks and 5' tanks would be available but not very common given demand for the sizes we've all come to think of as typical.

Ive had 5' tanks galore!

And im currently waiting on a 60" wide stock tank which will replace the garage tank.

I believe it was just recently discontinued, but petsmart used to always offer a 60x18x26 120g setup that was usually very reasonably priced when sales were on. I see a lot of them on craigslist nowadays.

My "fatboy" 125 acrylic is a 5 footer (60 x 20 x 24). Would have gone to 22 depth but might have stuck out a bit too much.

Theres 5’ tanks around… heres my 5’3’2’ acrylic… had a 5’x18”x26” glass tank aswell. They made the glass 5’ 120’s standard also. Used to be very common. 5’x2’x2’ is another popular/standard one.

I believe the 5x2x2 is common 150 gal

I bought the Marineland - Top fin, 120 gal. five foot tank from Petsmart about eight years ago. Tank / stand combo was $300 - Black Friday sale.
It's held up really well.
I prefer the five foot 120 over the standard six foot 125 gal. It's a little wider & taller, making aquascaping easier, giving the fish more space to turn around.
