Why Not Drill a Tank?

I always drill my tanks. Best thing I ever did for my tank. You tube has video's on how to do it.

Well, diamond tipped hole saws are expensive and prolly will only be used once to drill that single hole, so a glass cutting shop will save people money and pants ^^

I love drilled tanks & overflows!

And to ar0wan: why not build plumbing and build proper water control for your pipes? It's a different kind of build ime

I guess I just havn't set up a new tank over 100gals in several years.
And drilling glass makes me p

I would practice on a piece of glass thats secured to something and that something better not be your hand or your foot, could be someone else hands though....

Drilling is actually quite easy if you remember to GO SLOW. You're not cutting a hole, you're grinding away the edges of a hole. Low pressure

Ebay has dirt cheap diamond hole saws that are good for more than 20 holes cause thats all I needed,could be good for more dont know yet.cordless drill and a spray bottle and its easy to make holes in tanks.

zero...real men do it in their slippers and boxers...

Cause most don't have the tools to drill tanks

If you have an aquarium you should have all the stuff you need 'cept the correct size diamond tipped hole saw...

It is not hard and can be done by anyone. Some one on here did a DIY with 2 blocks of wood I would never do this!!!!!!!!! you do not need it.

Any of you guys know how to tell if a pane of glass is tempered? That's the only reason why I never tried. I've never found a straight answer online on how to tell the difference of tempered glass.
