Why shouldn't Freeze Dried Krill be fed daily???

I feed my large group of Clown Loaches, Morays, and Cichlids FD Krill daily, mixed with massivore, food sticks, and a pinch of NLS Thera A pellets. My fish have nice colors!

I tried researching, but can't find a reason why Krill is discouraged to be fed daily, but only a treat.

Anyone?

IMO as long as my fish eat and enjoyed the food why stop feeding them? ITs best to mixed variety differrent food, I wouldnt like it if I eat the same food every day. When I feed my fish I never mixed and feed them at once.

One day ill feed them dried krill, other day will be pellet, other will be shrimp, or worm etc..just take turn using different food different day.

I give crickets with pellets day one day, only pellets day two, giant worms with pellets day 3, only pellets day 4, fish & shrimp with pellets day 5 and so on. For the vegetarians I feed waterplants and string algae, if I don't have cooked kale, spinach, peas etc.
Fish could probably live of pellets only, adding variety makes life more interesting....2c worth

Krill has up to 65% protein. That is too high for many fish.

I had a Five Star General that would only eat krill. It grow from about a inch to around six or seven inches with nice coloring.

People told me I spoiled it, but even after trying the starvation method for about a month it still refused. So I simply add more krill to my shopping list.

It trained me well.

I feed pellets daily (gasp) and the main ingredient is krill (gasp). Been following that feeding regime on all my fish for many years. This is the same manner in which commercial aquaculture feed fish, apparently it seems to work rather well. The variety is gleaned from the variety of raw ingredients that make up the food. A high quality feed will be made up of a proper nutritional balance of high quality raw ingredients.

And of course the fish I keep aren't obligatory predators, and tend to eat anything that I toss in to the tank. Not all fish are so easy to feed.

Feeding too much FD krill can be an issue due to the chitin and fluoride content. This is where variety (of raw ingredients) and nutrient balance come into play. It's not just about protein content.
