ts, I know this is late, but I don't care, to you and anyone who's been hurt by others:

truth is, everyone will hurt you. you just have to find the ones that are worth hurting for
 
Batting for the other size myself, I've used the "I think you protests too much" angle more than once. A truely homophobic (most often a teen age boy) will get VERY upset. The more compassionate and understanding you get the more angst ridden they will become. LOL!!
