Why is it, that my parents have to be so ignorant, and book ourselves a hotel on my holidays.... I'm the type of guy who loves to stay home.. not ****ing spend 2 of my 6 weeks holiday at a beach doing nothing....... I was getting called selfish, here are my mums words... "you're saying you don't want to go, so no one goes" which wasn't what I was saying... I was saying I don't want to go and spend two of my weeks out of my 6 weeks holidays at a lame ass beach... this is a break from 40 weeks of school.. and the best part it's at Christmas... I want to spend Christmas at home, away from big family gatherings... not at the beach. I'm not being selfish, and I'm not being ungrateful. It's unreasonable that I have to spend my break from 40 weeks of school at a beach, away from the contact from my friends.... I'm already sick of my family. Hell, I'd rather get a job and work everyday of my holiday then go to the beach - and that's what I'll probably be doing (bar the beach part).......

:irked::irked::irked:

I dono what I could do... My parents can't trust me to stay home while they go on there holiday... so my only option is to go the beach and ruin my break and christmas.

just venting....

It's just part of life. You'll look back in a couple of years and realize how funny it sounds ranting about that. Don't worry about it and make the most of your holiday.

trust me, I've already done it this year, last year, year before that... I'm ****ing over it... the most i can make of my holiday is packing up and the anticipation of leaving..............

if worse comes to worse I'll break a limb so I get a cast, or I'll cut myself and use the excuse "I can't swim or it'll infect my cut"

I can feel your pain.... or not..

Just the fact that you want some time for yourself and hang with friends...

you cant change what has happen.. unless ur willing to say no and complete ditch your family during the break..
I'm not suggesting that.. BUT.. i would however suggest..
Why not bring a few friends along? Tell your mum that you want to invite some friends so you wont be lonely there.... it doesn't have to be the whole 4 weeks.. maybe 1 week or two..

But thats what i would suggest.. its even better to bring a girlfriend along....

Hang in there!

Saltwater is good for cuts ;) Trust me, I know how you feel. I couldn't wait to move out 5 years ago. I couldn't be happier living on my own, being as dirty and careless as my life allows. My sister is also 17 and going through the same anticipation of getting out. There isn't much you can do other than tough it out and look forward to the future.

btw... we're a family of 5 and they've booked one with two rooms.......

just clarifying that we're going for 2 weeks, and I get 4 weeks break..

No girlfriend, and what I said earlier. no room for friends.....

ask to stay at a friends house ..... ask your friends parents to ask your parents to stay at your friends house.... i did that a few times but my rents are probably a bit more leniant then yours...

i was 14-15 while doing this
