Why is my oscar chasing my arowana, he has knocked some scales of him.
The arow is 6 inches and the oscar is about 4 inches.
I moved the arow in about 2 hrs ago, he was in my 30gallon he is now in my 60.
But the arow is only 8-9days old (to me not his acctual age)
HELP HELP HELP PLS !!!!!!!!

Because Ryan Oscars are naturally agressive fish and if they think they can get away with it they will. Aro's are surface fish and spend most of there time at the surface ! so when the agressive and mischevious Oscars see the Aro sticking out like a soar thumb there natural instinct is to antaganize and bully maybe even kill. so separate the 2 breeds untill the aro get's too big for them to bully !

but you had a 12-13 inch arow and 2 3inch O's ripped it to shreds well its tail.

:iagree: with dan but remember all fish are different. You could have an evil oscar. I've seen o's with aros several times sucessfully. I have one with mine that is fine:)

Yeah it wasn't my Oscars it was my royal clown knife !

Oscars are naturally agressive fish mate there's no if's or but's and they are quite difficult to arange a tank mates for them ! It's all hit and miss fella. Like rallysman said his are fine !

Ok thanks guys, for get what i said about dans O's above, he thought it was his O's nipping his arows tail but it was his Knife fish. lol

GET RID OF THE OSCAR AND LOOK AFTER THE ARO..... AFTER ALL ANYONE CAN GET AN OSCAR BUT ARO'S ARE MUCH LESS COMMON......ASK YOUR SELF WHAT IS MORE IMPORTANT......AGRO OR RARITY.......WHATS GOING TO GIVE YOU MORE PLEASURE IN THE FUTURE........ A COMMON EVERYDAY OSCAR OR A JEWEL OF A FISH FROM THE SWOLLEN RAINFORREST OF THE AMAZON (WHAT DO THE LOCALS CALL THEM...."RIVER MONKEYS") ....SACK THE OSCAR.......

I also had to pick between my silver aro and my albino long fin O.

Im glad I picked my silver aro and said goodbye to the O.

If you can seporate them for a while you may be able to keep both as long as the aro is big enough and your tank is big enough as well
