thanks for the tid bit on Frontosa, but i try not to keep any africans with me SAs i have only seen and ever had but a couple africans. i had a five bar i loved but my power went out once for a week and he died :(. i hate snow. anyways they all seem to eat from the top of the tank now except my texas who seems to run my tank  not quite sure why he won't eventually he will i'm sure. got some floating plants and didn't feed them much at all for a few days and the others are fine. i felt bad though i would walk by and they would follow

ive had my guys for a while, and the way i see it is. I dont really want to force them to do something they dont want. When they feel comfortable doing something like taking the food from the surface, then awesome. Otherwise, I'll continue feeding them food which sinks with some krill that i drop on the surface. Some of them have enough courage to take the krill, and some dont yet, but I dont doubt that they'll feel really comfortable and take the food freely.
