Why would my leo/hen change color?

Well I guess there was something wrong because he died. Why would a healthy ray in a healthy tank be fine then all of a sudden, gone? Water parameters good no ammonia nitrates between 10 and 20 ppm they raised a bit due to the fact that ive been feeding everyday lately. Tank does a 70gpd water change. He ate fine Sunday night

Silent death maybe? Dr. Ross said in his book that silent death seems reasonless, but may be a delayed consequence from some exposure to toxicity in the past.
