no offence dude but I believe you get what you deserve... I was 12ft up on a ladder didnt tie off, ladder slid out I fell and shattered my elbow.

your friend(s) went to the bar got drunk, decided to drive home, decided not to put seat belts on, crashed and you know the rest.

when I first started reading I thought your friend was hit by a drunk, all I can say is your friend is lucky she didnt kill anyone else...

No one deserves that, much less young people. And she "killed" her boyfriend.

And a shattered elbow, irrespective of how much it must have hurt, does not even start to compare with the object of this thread.

Very sorry to hear that.. My prayers are with you.

* Meaning besides her BF who let her drive like that....

Also what if she didnt roll the car but rather t-boned a mini van filled with a family, coming back from the movies or other event or even a crowd of people crossing the road. How would you feel then?

It is funny to see people say they have a zero tolerance for drunk driving, yet they feel bad because someone got hurt by their own hands because of it.

I am not PC and I dont sugar coat things, that is just how I am. So I am sorry but I strongly think she got what she deserves. Just because you are young doesnt mean you have the right to be stupid. I am 24 almost 25 and I am sure my elbow is going to be a factor for the rest of my life, but I will always tie off now. Just like if she survives this which I am sure she will, she will never want to drink again let alone drink and drive.

So dont get me wrong I hope your friend makes it, but I do think she derserved a life lesson like that. But I guess not everyone has lost a friend to a drink driver.

Dude, just cool it. Calling others that disagree with you stupid is, well, stupid. And your poor little elbow holds nothing in comparison to this situation. What you don't understand is people can think things, but not say it. You don't have to be rude and blow things up in an innocent person's face, who is simply asking for compassion and hope. Do I agree whatever she gets, she deserves? Yes. But that's not the point. The point is a fellow MFK whom I respect needs our support. Get over yourself, and leave it where it is.

People get things they dont deserve all the time, just the luck of the draw but that doesnt mean we cant have sympathy or compassion for others.

Sorry to hear about your friend...

please read my post again that has not been edited and tell me who I called stupid... reading comprehension is key on forums :)

My point with my elbow is when you are asking for trouble you are going to get it, and you will learn from it.

To the OP, I am sorry your friend is in rough shape and I hope that she comes out of the coma.

Well, the person posting just before you commented on their age, so it appeared to be a comment back. I can see now what you meant. I apologize, and hope you can see where I misunderstood that. This post ^ is the type of post that can be taken the right way, with sympathies shown, yet a point made. :)

Sorry, Cass, not trying to derail. We're all still thinking about you guys.
