COVER THE TANK, you're fine, humans learn from their mistakes, even dogs do sometimes, don't let a small mistake set you back

I wish that were true, for humans anyway!!! I have done the same mistake so many times it is not funny, over filling the tank and going down to the basement to find 1" of water on the floor.

But fugupuff is right, this is just a little set back. Sometimes these mistakes can be a blessing in disguise. Don't give up.

Ya well my main priority now is to much sure my red tail wolf likes his home enough not to wanna jump out...covered up the little area by the filter that the Snake escaped from...What is ideal water temp for redtails? and ..Whats the best way to get him to eat everything, i just bought some bloodworms and misquito larva, I wanna try to get him to eat krill every third day. Right now he's eating it everyday...

Around 78 should be fine. As for the food question, sometimes it can be difficult to get them to eat everything, they will always have their favourite food. Try giving him the food he dislikes the most first and the food he likes last, that what I do when I want a particular fish to eat what I want.

Yeah... Ashdavid is right. And if the fish refuses the food it most dislikes after eating its favourite food, you gotta starve it all over again...

And sometimes, they jump out not because they don't like their tanks. Could be they thought there is food somewhere out there or what...

Some fish just try to travel no matter how nice the conditions are where they are. EEls are like that, maybe channa are too?
