value for money is for sure the RTG as you get what you pay for

why would i want to spend $800 then waste 4 years only to find the aro is not what i want

you say it takes 4 years for a aro to reach its full potential then how can you get a fully crossed xback at only 6-7inch without some kind of trickery

Does crossing really mean it's already hit full potential?

you are making no sence

we see loads of xback that have been kept in white tanks that have full crossing at 6-7 inch

you then say that a aro takes up to 4 years to cross how is it possible for a 6-7 inch baby aro to fully cross yet a 20 inch aro that is also meant to be high grade not have any crossing at all

you say buy from a trusted seller is any seller that is selling a fully crossed 6-7 inch xback trust worthy if aros take 4 years to mature

i would just like to know how long and how many Asian aros you have kept

i know as much as the next man if not more about Asian aros as i have been keeping them for a long time

im am beginning to think it way to easy to get ripped off and they are just not worth the high price

we have moved on from xbacks and its red we are talking about now :D

I've seen prices drop on reds and golds in Canada, but in the end, as adult fish many of them look like they're worth what the buyer paid for them in the first place. What that tells me is that prices haven't dropped so much as possibly there are more lesser quality aros being produced or made available to market.

What King-el means is it can take up to 4 years without such white tank treatment to acheive the cross. All these xbacks at 6-7 inches that are already crossed have been through white tank treatment. i don't see why you think its such a scam. I don't see what the big problem is having a white tank. Heck, my own aro tank is wrapped in white. It's not visually unappealing, it actually brightens up my house pretty well. Why do you consider white tank treatment a scam? Thats like saying people who bathe and comb dogs before they try to sell them are just scamming you by making them look nicer. I don't see what the problem is. Haven't kept that many unfortunately. In all my years of keeping aros, in total probably kept somewhere between 20-30, not all at the same time of course. Even with reds, I still don't see what the problem is with the white tank. Thats basically saying tanning is also a scam.

i think they also do this so people can see the difference from HBRTG and RTG and XB b.c if you left them in a clear tank i think too the rookies they would look the same at a small size

you say you have had 20-30 aros

if they were all so great and turned out the way you hoped why did you sell them

my goal is to have my perfect aro you have had 20-30 and still buying and selling this tells me you are a trader trying to convice people the $2k aros are a good buy or a guy who keeps aros but has not been happy with the aros you have brought

which is it :D

I didn't sell most of them, most of them died during the winters when heavy snow struct and my old and crappy house blacked out for more than a couple hours. It's happened a couple times already, good thing they decided to fix the problems 2-3 years back or I'd have lost even more fish. The other ones were sold because I needed a new car as my 12 year old daily corolla doesn't start sometimes even with a new battery. I have never sold an aro with the intent that it did not turn out the way I wanted it to be. Only time I actually sold all my aros was to move from Hong Kong to Toronto permanently. Good thing i stick mainly with greens or all these losses wouldve made me bankrupt by now...
