sweet! how big is she? how old is she? am not really sure if shes a true blooded ST or just another 3 bar IT since i cant see her tail bars clearly, but ST or IT shes definitely a great catch.!:nilly::nilly::nilly:
you dont even have to see the tail bars to tell if its a ST or IT... :)

well thats how we identify ST over IT here in the philippines. the tail bars of ST are not proportional. one's a lot thicker than the other. btw, how do you do it ?

this has bean explained many times here before.

but the important thing to look at is the shape of the middle bar. on true STs it will (in 99,9% of all cases) sweep backwards at the bottom of its belly, i borrowed niteoner’s pic here (hope that's ok?) to demonstrate:
DSCN0283-.jpg

and on ITs the middle bar usually goes straight down and all the way under the belly like this:

and the thickness of the bar on ITs is also in most cases equal at the top and at the bottom.

...but these are only one way of many to tell the true ID. :)

no offence but imo i like the look of a 3 bar it better then a wide bar....very nice fish though :)
