Nice looking background and an ingenious design using the black tubing to fill the gaps at the sides of the background.
Thanks! Theyre camera hogs!
Think the neons will last ?
Any Balzani fans out there? How does my trio look? Jeff Rapps has some beauties.
I was very inquisitive of Jeff because I was aware of their cold req's. I have read and Jeff from Tangled Up in Cichlids has discussed the temp req's for these particular fish as they have been with him for awhile. These particular fish and the lineage to these particular fish going back several generations have never been cold climated. Jeff has actually collected the lineage to these Balzanis in Uruguay. However, with that being said, I am going to watch their behavior over the next few months and if they dull or become docile, I will start to set up another tank for the other tank mates and leave the Balzanis in the 90 to cold climate them for a bit. The SB hybrid Texas is a temp situation and the Blood parrots are my wifes fish. I keep them and I keep the hobby. So, I am by no means ruling out the cold period. However, I wanna monitor and see how it goes as Jeff has assured me these guys do not require a cool down period.Yes, great looking Balzani, but bad choice of tank mates due to the different temperature requirements. About the neons.....I am not sure. Thats why I went with neons and not the more expensive cardinals. We'll see how it goes. The Texas will be out soon. The mutany parrots tried to go after them in the beginning and realized they couldnt open their mouths. I am not sure about the Balzani's though. I keep them pretty well fed. Crap shoot.....Think the neons will last ?
