Wierd anemone looking thing - Aptasia?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I just cover them in kalk.

I don't keep a reef anymore, mostly because of loosing the aptasia battle. Took over everything, I ended up nuking the tank.

but anyways, I remember reading that a Green Scat could have saved the day.

Worth a try imho.

I would try to find a small one on your local reefkeeping forum or club then trade it on when your satisfied.

Or buy a 3 incher thats accumated to salt.

I'm just saying this because I tried all the other options here and they didn't work for me, kalk, joe's juice, peppermint shrimp, coperband butterfly fish ect....

but I'm no expert, just thought Id share..

Right on the money!

Keep in mind everytime you inject it, parts of it tear, float away, and produce a new one! Good luck with the injections if you decide to go that route

You'd be lucky to find any scat in BW, never mind a juvie in SW at a LFS!

I've been using joe's juice and it seems to be working great. I was given some live rock and knowing little , it was covered with this. The previous owner thought they were neat. I've gotten the numbers doen to the single digits from close to 50 when I started with the juice. That was about 3 weeks ago. I also heard that the lemon juice works great too. gl
