yeah right, because silver arows taste better than guppies (for other fish) :screwy:
that's got nothing to do with serious fish keeping, just like those people on youtube feeding their piranhas with frogs, mice & stuff when dead fish would do perfectly well
probably yet another case of low self esteem...
:iagree:

bahahahah. youre new to fish keepoing i see. lol. frogs are very common feeders, and good for fish. lol

fish are best off eating dead food, because live food can carry diseases/parasites and they can hurt themselves while chasing their prey
also, it's not funny to feed something live just for fun, if the fish will readily accept something dead...that's just being sadistic
different thing if the fish will not accept dead food, but most will if trained to do so
the frog that was fed to the piranhas was bitten twice and kept on swimming with 1/3 of its body mass missing...that's just cruel and whoever does that is an *******
yeah, i know, happens in the wild too, but that's a different story...there the frog can swim away or choose not to go into the water when there are piranhas nearby...in the aquarium it doesn't stand a chance
plus there isn't some ******* standing nearby laughing at the frog's death struggle
also, the frog was a native species, which means it's forbidden to catch it and feed it to your pets
your attitude is a disgrace to all fish keepers..."wooo look at me i'm so cool i feed expensive & rare fish to my other fish to cover my self esteem issues"

that being said, i kinda do understand the fun in feeding something live once in a while...i'd just make sure it's small enough to die from the first bite...and i'd feel guilty watching it

Edit: anyway, we're way off-topic, let's get btt

yeah and huge fish eat seals and sometimes people...that's the way of the world, right?
so let's feed feeder seals and people to the next white shark in monterey :screwy:
big difference: in nature the small fish can escape, in fact they escape most of time
in most aquariums, there is no chance for the small fish
and we're not even talking about the chances of frogs and especially mice
like i said: i do understand the fun of watching your fish chase and kill smaller fish, but i wouldn't do it all the time
if not for the sake of the small fish, think of the parasites & diseases

edit: keeping fish just to watch them tear others to shreds is just wrong, and there's so many youtube videos of people keeping piranhas in bare tanks and delibarately starving them, only to watch them tear an oscar or arowana to pieces, i'm just sick of it
sorry if my posts were a little harsh
i agree with everything your saying 100% ..but lets stay on track on this thread..

fish live on feeders in the wild....i dont think anyone goes to the lake or river and gives em pellets or shrimp.
IMO as long as feeders are healthy and full of nutrients its fine.

:chillpill: no one is purposely feeding pbass or arowana to anything it wasn't supposed to go down like that.
