most would not do it but the odd person overcome with emotion might do it in anger but they will be punished and hey might never do it again
then there are the people who will take a dump on your porch and get a massive high from it, he will keep taking a dump on your porch taking bigger and bigger dumps as he gets away with it more, even if he gets caught and cured by your twisted way of thinking everyone can be helped standards the chances are he will go out a do it again
how many porches would you be willing to take responsibility for since by trying to help him you become responsible for what he does.

Now this is a cool dead thread.

I would have taken all her clothes, especially her "favorites": her shoes, blankets of hers and jackets, (leather too lol) jeans, anything and put them in the tub. Then I would have poured a bottle of bleach in. Maybe two. Ok, three works too Let it sit, then fill up the tub and get a broom and swish it around. Then I would leave, and not come back. I just couldn't justify killing her pet though for vengeance. That's going too far down to her level.
